Buuuk

Buuuk is a bespoke mobile app design and development studio based in Singapore. They started out way back in 2008, right at the time Apple released the iPhone and opened its doors to the development community. Over the last decade they’ve gained immense respect for the high quality of work with their apps being regularly featured by Apple. Their clientele include prominent brands, services and Government organisations in Singapore.

We kickstarted this project with a visit to Buuuk​’s cool office where we spent a few days conducting a discovery workshop to understand the project requirements and align all stakeholders. The interaction with various team members helped us reach a thorough understanding of their target audience, content, goals, and even their personality. Being a lean team Buuuk needed a hassle-free way to regularly publish case studies demonstrating notable aspects of their work and rolling out landing pages to support their marketing activities. After adequately learning about such needs and other constraints we arrived at a high level content strategy, information architecture, and recommended them to go for a CMS-driven website to lower their publishing overheads.

Having years of experience in designing digital interfaces, Buuuk created their own design language while we lent our web expertise and took charge of the implementation. The final website was built on Craft CMS and combines Super Table and Neo plugins to pull off a powerful page-builder. It extends key design controls to authors, enabling them to construct diverse case study pages and showcase the different services on offer, all from inside the CMS. The project was executed back in our studio here in New Delhi, with disciplined project management involving weekly check-ins, demos and feedback cycles.
